The success of any project is dependant on many factors.  Time and cost are almost always the most critical factors.  The method of project delivery selected by the Owner will be one of its most important decisions.

The traditional Design-Bid-Build method places the emphasis on the initial bid cost and can lead to an adversarial relationship between the Owner, the Design Team, and the Builder.  In addition, this method encourages the Builder to deliver the product as specified, with little value added.

The Design-Build delivery method is a re-alignment of the traditional working relationships.  The Builder partners with the Design Team, working with the Owner, to optimize the end product.  There is an emphasis on innovative design, value engineering and quality construction.  The Design Team is able to draw from the Builders’ experience to improve the construct-ability of the project, and thus, reduce the cost.  The Owner improves its ability to manage risk, as the project delivery responsibility is centralized.  In todays fast moving and ever changing construction industry, the design-build delivery method is a logical evolution.

Ron Engineering is very proud of its abilities as both a Design-Builder and a Construction Manager.  On almost all of its projects, Ron Engineering has taken a leading role in working with and coordinating the Design Team.  In many of the cases, Ron Engineering assisted the Owner in selecting the Design Team.  In addition to its experience as a Design-Builder, Ron Engineering’s Construction Management experience is also strong evidence of its ability to understand and apply the Design-Build delivery method to this project.
