Project Details:
In February 2001, Ron Engineering was retained as the Construction Manager for the new David Azrieli Pavilion and Lecture Theatres. The project involved the construction of a new 4 storey Classroom building and a 2 level – 4 Lecture Theatre building. The Lecture Theatre building is interconnected with the Tory Building, and the classroom building is interconnected with the existing tunnel system. Positioning the buildings in the space between the existing Dunton Tower and Tory Building, and to also coordinate with existing tunnels/buildings and their respective systems, coupled with the extensive elevation changes between and within the buildings all contributed to a complicated, yet a very interesting project.
