In July 2003 Ron Engineering completed the base building phase at 1600 Star Top Road, a 236,000 sf build to suit lease project for PWGSC. Ron Engineering, acting as the Project and Construction Manager for a consortium of Owners, completed the project on time and under budget. Creative sequencing and phasing allowed the construction of the base building to be completed in only 11 months. Following the completion of the base building, the tenant fit-up for the Department of National Defense (DND) commenced in November 2003 and was completed on time and on budget in August 2004. This fit-up included meeting and office space, a command center, a fitness facility and various secure areas. Following the completion of the main fit-up DND initiated the fit-up of a cafeteria complete with kitchen facilities. This fit-up commenced was completed in October 2004.
