In 1999, Cognos Inc. retained Ron Engineering as its’ Project and Construction Manager for the expansion of its’ World Headquarters in Ottawa. The project consisted of a new 180,000 sf, 10 storey, curtainwall clad office building with a two storey atrium connected to the existing 80,000 sf, 6 storey office building. A bridge connection was constructed between the buildings at the 6th floor. The existing building was renovated in a second phase, following occupancy of the new building. The facility includes office space, labs, a cafeteria, a conference centre and a fitness centre. The site work associated with this project included a re-development of the parking area and the construction of a four level, 765 car concrete parking garage.
