| Project Details: |
The Sacred Heart project consisted of a 170,000 sf high school with a three storey cast in place concrete core and one storey load bearing masonry and structural steel wings, housing the shops, the gymnasiums, the cafeteria and a 700 seat joint use community theatre. The project site presented a considerable challenge as it was peat covered, cedar bush adjacent to an environmentally sensitive area. The existing grade was significantly lower than the proposed finished building elevations, and a high percentage of the site was covered in water. Ron Engineering was able to ensure that the quality acceptance standards for this project were met or exceeded, while maintaining a "Fast Track" project schedule.
